Expert Advice about Printed Labels
Q. How do I get a quotation for a printing job from Custom Labels ?
You can use the online printed label calculator here, or if the material is not listed, simply complete this contact form.
Q. How long will it take to delivery my order once I have supplied the artwork?
Each job takes a varying amount of time, and depending on things like the material required, quantity required, workload, and artwork supplied, some jobs are turned around on the same day, whilst others take several days. Best thing to do is tell us what you need, and we can let you know if we can deliver in your time frame. We strive to exceed our customer delivery expectations.
Q. What file formats do you accept.
Please refer the artwork guide here.
Q. How do I know if my label will adhere to my product?
The best way to know is to request a sample label from us, and test it. We can advise the best label material to use based on your intended use.
Q. Is white considered a print colour?
For Digital printing, we do not print White since generally the printing material is White, so the white areas in the image are reversed out of the image, giving the appearance of printed white which is in fact just the white material showing.
Q. How do I send artwork files.

Artwork File Guidelines for Digital Printing
Artwork Bleed
Please allow at least 3mm bleed. This means, extend the printed areas 3mm over the edge of the finished product size area. (Refer image below). For example, if you want a label that has a finished size of 100 x45mm, make the printed graphics extend to 106 x 51 mm (to the yellow outline). This is so when the product is cut to the finished size there is a tolerance for movement (max 2mm) and the printing will always go to the very edge of the label.
Clear Space
Allow 2mm for the ‘clear space area’ (shown by the blue line) between the cut line (magenta line) and clear area line. This area can have the background image in it, but keep all text within the blue line of your artwork.
